Remember how everybody was giggly and feverish when we got to know that Chat Pile would be performing at Roadburn for the first time a few years ago? I have a feeling as if we are witnessing the same thing this year with Crippling Alcoholism. They just released two of the most important records that are similar but showcase two very different sides of the band - a band that is bound to become bigger than our beloved little Roadburn - but right now, right this year, we are about to witness them perform their songs full of Dark Folk tales and pumping Post-Punk. Both variants give us a band that knows exactly what they are aiming at, our hearts, mind, feet and hips. Sometimes this could be a dark mass, sometimes it could be a sweaty club, but either way will be one for the ages and so make sure to catch them!
Oh, you need another reason to watch them? Do it for me, for I will not be able to see them because I will be arriving too late on Thursday!
