Blind Girls – why?
“What’s out there? Beyond these walls? They would tear it all to pieces speak to me their voices the voices that make mine nothing. Make me nothing. Cover your voice.” One of the key moments on a good Hardcore record is when you get lines to make you feel the emotional value of its message - here it’s the sheer desperation of singer Sharni Brouwer that makes our spines shiver as her vocal chords quiver. When the band is then able to back lines like this with not simply brute force but with calmer, deeper moments that showcase an amazing feeling for songwriting - then you know that this band is up to something. This Australian quintet has not been to Europe yet, so to catch them on one of their first gigs on European soil ever is something not to be missed. But if you feel overwhelmed by the music and the message - we told you, okay? This band is gonna go far if the world is a fair place! If not, then we need to support Blind Girls as much as possible, for their mix of Screamo and Hardcore is breathtaking! My personal insider tipp for RB 2025!
