A band that unapologetically prefaces their set with a round of hugs, kisses and handshakes before an onslaught of granite falls on people’s heads and everything ends in bloodshed, Shearling is the answer for all us sad folks reminiscing of Sprain’s now not so recent dissolution. Their May 2025 debut “Motherfucker, I am Both: “Amen” and “Hallelujah”…” arrived like a fireball and has maintained its momentum into this strange, uncertain, downright frightening 2026. Avantgarde or Experimental Noise Rock is but a miniscule grain of salt in an ocean of madness that is Shearling. Eden meets Idaho in a swirling nightmare on the Dutch stage. Go in with an open heart and your mind will open threefold.
