Still need a reason to attend Oathbreaker? Here you go!
Reunions are a difficult thing. For any band, but especially for one that hasn’t released new music in a decade. One whose singer left the country and even the continent. A band that has released less than a handful of records. But sometimes these reunions make sense - for a trial. To celebrate the friendship between the band members. In order to showcase the power that still resides in these songs.
When Oathbreaker announced their first reunion show to be at Roadburn and that they’d play Rheia in full - the internet was a’buzzing. Because many had given up hope to ever catch them live - again or for the first time. For me it will be the third one and I am sure that this time the setting and the sound will do the songs and the band justice (because it won’t be an outdoor venue in the middle of summer on a side stage with a shitty PA). Whether this will be just a show or the start of more, doesn’t matter. The only thing that is important will be to catch Caro and her men perform those ten songs for us. It will be remarkable and unforgettable! Very likely a brilliant reunion gig!
Oathbreaker will perform Rheia in its entirety on Saturday, April 18!
