Is there anything wrong about nostalgia? Only if it leads to some kind of phobia towards modern life. With Palais Ideal from the Netherlands, formed by Richard van Kruysdijk and John Edwards, that is surely not the case, because their music might sound as if dropped straight from the 80s and its Post-Punk scene, there is surely something much more in their sound and songs. Surely because the two guys have a long-standing musical history and have been part of the scene for so long that they have seen trends come and go by the dozen and have always tried to make music for the moment. Their new record “Here and Now” is no exception to that because it is modern in production and has a pretty timeless character. Therefore we had a lot to talk about in only roughly 35 minutes! Amazing talk, awesome record, absolutely entertaining people = amazing talk! Enjoy!
