Mount Logan - Uebergangsjacke

in

Isn’t it cool to see how our “little scene” flourishes into wonderful self-reliant projects like this one here: A German photographer takes cool photos, asks bands for a song - et voila! Ready is a great DIY project called I am already hearing sounds. Our friends in Mount Logan are part of it and we premiere you their video for “Uebergangsjacke”!

Tilman Dominka is a Muenster, Germany-based photographer who has an eye for great pictures and has compiled 30 pictures from his many years taking pictures of bands and musicians. And as if that wasn’t enough he also got a song for each picture by the people depicted - so you get 30 cool pictures and also 30 cool tracks you can listen to with the help of a QR code.

Some of these pictures show our friends in Cranial, Blessings or Mount Logan. The latter contribute a mesmerizing track somewhere between Shellac, Fugazi and Amon Düül. Instrumental, as usual, but with a good ear for rowdy riffs and an intimate idea of timing these near 10 minutes never feel as long but rather as mighty diverse because the initial shy start turns into a crunching cascade of guitars and singular, angular drums. And as if writing that song on the basis of a photo wasn’t enough, they also got a video for it. And where else to premiere it than here on VoS?! Nowhere, exactly!

If you want to know more about this project then keep an eye on the photographer’s blog - and now enjoy Mount Logan’s new video for “Uebergangsjacke”!
