Okay, so this is a special day for us. Back in September of 2021, our webwizard uploaded and published the first video here on this channel, a video interview with our dear friends in Årabrot and today he does so for the 200th time! So we thought we need to get something special for the occasion (which will be the first of several special occasions over the next couple of weeks) - and who better to have on the show than Eugene S. Robinson (Buñuel and Oxbow) who has been with us numerous times and this time we have a chance to again talk about a new music endeavor - the new Buñuel album Mansuetude which will see the light of day next Friday. The record showcases a band on a fresh start as their first trilogy of full-lengths (A Resting Place for Strangers, The Easy Way Out, Killers Like Us) was wrapped up two years ago. Releasing through our pals in Skin Graft Records and Overdrive Records this record shows some of the Buñuel trademarks like Noise attacks and yet, there are tracks on this record which are nearly dream-like (please think of a Lynch or Cronenberg dream, nothing too soothing). We get into some reminiscences and many of you might find some easter eggs within these 45 minutes - so enjoy!
If you want to order Mansuetude, you can do so via Skin Graft Records for (nearly) everywhere in the world or via Overdrive Records in Europe.
If you want to support Veil of Sound, there are two ways: First of all - be a friend, tell a friend! Spread the word about our work. Second possibility: Support us on Patreon and enjoy our interviews two days ahead of everyone else!
