Still need a reason to attend Heaven In Her Arms? Here you go!
Why are the Japanese so good at perfecting things that are not originally Japanese? Take whisky - nowadays the best one comes from Japan. Take Noise Rock - Boris. Post-Rock - Mono. Screamo - envy AND Heaven In Her Arms. envy graced Roadburn stages last year - this year we will be blown away by Heaven In Her Arms, you can be sure of it.
This band is much more than Hardcore or Screamo, they have found a perfect balance between the harsh melodies that sometimes border on Blackened Metalcore (soundwise) and uplifting Post-Rock, always with a kind of gracefulness that would have made Ms Kelly shrink away into the background. Heaven In Her Arms took their bandname from Converge’s song of the same name, published 25 years ago on Jane Doe - however, these Japanese masters have taken that as a starting point on their path to audio perfection.
Heaven In Her Arms will perform on Friday, April 17 (performing White Halo in its entirety) and also on Saturday, April 18 (performing The End of Purification in its entirety)!
