Whenever Sentient Ruin puts out a new record most fans of brutal Avantgarde blackened Death Noise (yeah, made it up!) are head over heels for it and in basically all cases they are in it righteously so. With TERROR, a one-man blackened Death Metal act from Brazil, it is the same chronology of events. The music on this five-song-EP is fast, relentless Death Metal, with tinges of OSDM chugging and growls plus a bit of Blackened Noise attack.
The idea behind Hymni Belli Occultum is to disenfranchise these ever-purgatorian ways by lifting that unspoken veil of agony from over the capitalistic brutality behind the modern world. Of course that cannot be done by playing with a harp and fiddle but the pain should be feasible and with “Bélica Sinfonia Armagedônica”, the second track of the EP, it clearly is audible and becomes clear as crystal meth. No hostages, no hidden codes - just look at the world mankind has created for itself to die in! To die of! To die because of us!
