Rule of Two - Man of No Use

in

Emerging from the Oslo metal music underground, Rule of Two is a musical side project by Ronny Flissundet and Kristian Liljan (KITE, Damokles, and Dunderbeist among other bands they are involved in). In this musical project, their immense creativity, both musically and visually, finds new avenues based on Darkwave and 80s Dream Pop.

Veil of Sound can once more premiere a new song and video from the couple. This is the third song the band has released from their upcoming second release (out in January). The song is driven forward by beats and low-end guitar, giving it a heavy rhythm underpinning dreamy, soft vocals singing in harmony alongside itself. Synths swirl around as the music flows forward.

The video is a statement of visual creativity, a colorful kaleidoscope underlining the existential song which they themselves describe like this: “The song revolves around existential questions and the fear of losing one’s identity to giving up one’s creative love of music.”

If you want to know more about this intriguing musical project, there is a video interview with the two musicians on our Youtube channel and we also reviewed their debut EP in June.

Additionally, the guys provided us with a playlist, showing us the musical inspirations behind their explorations blending genre into a new whole of music.
