Hexcut – YES!
From Monument to Masses - should have been a huge band because their way of mixing vocal samples with Post-Rock and many small elements that then formed the picture of one of the most promising Post-Rock bands ever. Hexcut operate on a similar level with all their jangly alternative tunes, Electronic Jazz in a very pure mindset, strong basslines and most of all, an unbelievably breathtaking feeling for what a song needs in that exact moment: That might be a jaunty and slightly distorted piano line in between a short build-up and an unexpected explosion. It could also be some near tribal-drum-parts or space for an expanding synth-line underneath a lot of other soundscapes. If the world is a just and fair place, this band should become really big! You can help them, by attending their gig at Celestial Diadem on Saturday and by afterwards spreading the word about this amazing band! We need more tunes by them!
