What kind of music to expect when two guys from a famous American Avantgarde-Punk band get together again in a different band? Well, in the case of Umlaut you get Avant-Chamber Pop. And what do you get when talking to all four members of this band? You get one of the quirkiest, yet also most interesting interviews that we ever had on our channel. “Interesting” because the guys produce some strange side-noises, because they sometimes try to avoid clear answers but also because they show that underneath all the sarcasm and irony there are musicians who definitely know how to compose tracks and also to disguise their complexity. However, one should also take this interview as proof of maybe sometimes not interpreting music too much, because sometimes it’s just simply made to sound good. Enjoy our new interview with Umlaut!
