Roadburn 2025 Special Interview Number Three: Matthew Broadley is a multi-instrumentalist from England - and most of you will know him from his former band Dawn Ray’d - but the latter is not the reason for this interview but rather his new project Greet. The sound of Greet is based on the harmonium and he uses it to create long, breathing sounds that are close to Drone and Doom but of course based on Folk music, which is the third basis for the music he has given us on various releases on his Bandcamp including the EPs “Harmonium” and “Harmonium 2” (out via Fiadh Productions). The whole thing is very introspective, relying a lot on the environment in which it is performed and also, of course, on the reaction of the crowd. As we mention in the interview, it might not be music to mosh to (or maybe it is?) but it will give you a lot of introspective quality and provides a giant window to look into Matthew’s songwriting and soul. And honestly - what else could we want from music?
