L I G H T O W E R - Moonbath

in

This record proves that a real musician is able to perform a lot of different genres to perfection: Davide Tiso, one of the craftsmen behind Ephel Duath, shows that he is not only a world class Prog Metal guy but also more than capable to write Synthwave or Dark Electronica record: Moonbath!

Davide now lives in California and there is definitely something of the Golden State in this record, not necessarily the too-often-quoted green parts, but rather the somewhat sweaty urban areas, the concrete in the evenings, when the damp moisture from the cars, their emissions, from the people and their personal residue come up and provide the cities with a certain heat and mist, which does not necessarily come from the close-by Pacific.

He went full-fledge into challenging himself to stay away from the musical landscapes he has been experimenting with for decades, between Progressive Death Metal and Jazzy Extreme Metal. However, many people forgot or never knew that the amount of Synth passages (somewhere between Kraftwerk’s Krautrock and modern day variations of Vangelis’ epic Synthwave) have always been part of his songwriting for many years (or decades) by now. He only increased the importance of these elements more and manages to create a completely independent version of his songwriting. Therefore this record takes on a very different form, but basically is still Davide Tiso at core.

Moonbath will be released on Friday officially but you can of course place the order at Inertial Music’s website and now check for yourself which direction Davide is exploring with this new project!
