When a track is named “Thanatophilie” one should not expect nice, pleasant Pop-stuff. When the band behind the track is a six-headed monster called Azimut, one should expect that even less. However, we are happy to give you today’s premiere of Azimut’s latest single with their video for said song! “Enjoy”!
Grenoble. First thing that comes to mind is skiing and Alpine sports in general which indirectly implies a lot of cold months - best climate for a band like Azimut and their version of Post-Metal which takes elements from dissonant Death Metal and the vocals are clearly influenced by a band like Amenra and their Black Metal version. Definitely not the worst kind of connections and when you add gigs with Envy, Bossk and Hangman’s Chair to it you might see that these six guys might be up to something greater! “Thanatophilie” is surely a good example of that because the song’s title it about the love for death and dying - doesn’t sound too sunny, huh? Indeed, the track is not made for the sunshine states of Florida or California, but rather for those darker, introspective places where sunshine is not a granted thing each and every day. Some places like Grenoble!
You can pre-order 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘓𝘦𝘴 𝘔é𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘴 via Azimut’s Bandcamp page! But don’t come back to us and ask for the bubblegum shit - that’s not what you will get from the guys from Grenoble!
