If you ever listened to Noise-Rock and/or Indie-Rock from the 90s, you probably did not get around the city of Chicago and its bands like Tortoise, Shellac, Big’N, the Sea and Cake or U.S. Maple, who released their game-changing debut record “Long Hair in Three Stages” 30 years ago. This year, just a few years ago, Skin Graft released a second re-issue of the record, with a “re-worked” artwork and on colored vinyl. As the record is a real eye-opener and surely changed the listening habits of many people ever since, we are very happy and proud to give you this interview with their singer Al, who gave us many details into the band, the recording session with Jim O’Rourke, his love for AC/DC and also how he ended up in the movie “High Fidelity” - enjoy!
